According to him, Governor Udom Emmanuel’s knack for quality products as well as investment in the healthcare sector has been exemplified in the establishment of the syringe factory in the state.

“I came here to also be a witness to this viable investment that is gradually taking the center stage in syringe production after seeing your products at H-Medix stores in Abuja”

“I also came to encourage your efforts in building trust and reliability through brand performance in a little time frame and to see if there is a way we in the legislature can help the company grow” – Ifon added.

Reacting on the visitation, Akin OYEDIRAN, Managing Director of JSM, said he was pleased to have the Honourable member in the facility to be familiar with what the company is doing.

Oyediran narrated that from the product quality assurance and branding, some people mistake the JSM product to come from Europe or Germany, not really looking at the labels to know it is a made in Akwa Ibom product.

He said that JSM has become a global acceptable brand for its satisfactory quality production and branding.

Oyediran announced that Jubilee Syringe will be shipped soonest to West African countries as they have already secured Ghana Food and Drugs Authority (FDA) approval, and will be routing from Lagos to Accra by sea and the rest of the countries will be by truck from Ghana.

“Jubilee syringe is the best quality syringe in the Nigerian market right now”

“We produce about 1million syringes daily, while the other competitor produces about 90,000, so there is no much competition” – he said.

The General Manager stated that the company is working rigorously to ensure that they receive the Nigerian Medical Association (NMA) endorsement, which will be an added advantage to the brand in global market.

“The NMA has gone through our quality assurance and the factory processes. I believe they are satisfied, so we are awaiting their approval” – Oyediraan added.

On community relationship, The General Manager noted that the little issues with the community is as a result of the misunderstanding of the MOU, of which he believed was done with so much inexperience and in a hurry.

He called on the review of the MOU, of which he noted that the review board had been constituted and Chaired by Pst. Essien Thomas Etuk, who was also present during the visitation.

Oyediran urged the community to look beyond job opportunities and should develop and encourage  local distributors, noting that it is more financially rewarding to participate in the process than struggling for meager as the payroll of the entire employees is less than 10% of the company’s annual revenue.
