The Judiciary Will Live Up to the Expectations of the Common Man – Patrick Ifon

The Representative of the people of Eket /Esit Eket/ ONNA/ Ibeno Federal Constituency in the House of Representatives, Otuekong (Hon.) Patrick Ifon, has reassured Nigerians that the Judiciary system will live up to its expectation as the last hope of the common man.

Hon. Ifon, said this in an interview with journalists on Monday, after the inaugural meeting of the House committee on Judiciary, where he is a member.

He narrated that the House Committee on Judiciary, Chaired by Hon. Onofiok Luke, Member representing Nsit Ubium/ Nsit Ibom/ Etinan Federal Constituency, is geared towards executing its constitutional duties of performing oversight functions to ensure that the judiciary system gets it right.

” We are determined to supervise the Nigerian judiciary system to ensure that they get it right”

The Federal Lawmaker stated further that the committee is determined to work uncompromisingly to protect the sanctity of the judiciary, so as to achieve the timely dispense of justice by judges without any fear and favour. Maintaining that if the Judiciary in any country is allowed to collapse, the country itself has failed.
