Military plane lands Akwa Ibom airport with unknown cargo

A cargo aircraft belonging to the Nigerian military landed Victor Attah International airport at about 5a.m. today, Saturday 9th March ahead of the governorship and house of assembly election.

Staff of the airport said the aircraft with NGR918-C130 landed the airport with cargoes but no staff was allowed near the helicopter.

It was learnt that the commandment of the airport was barred from from inspecting the aircraft and the cargo.

Staff of the airport said the cargoes which the aircraft came with was immediately offloaded into a military van that was waiting at the airport.

The aircraft was said to have come in from Owerri and departed for Kwara State at 5:56a.m.
