The Akwa Ibom State Government, has exchanged signed Memorandum of
Understanding (MOU) with the Serge Investment Company in the development of Ibom Science and Technology Park, Liberty Free Trade Zone, supply of buses and
building of Assessment Plant and Construction of Roads across the State.

Presenting the documents to the President of the Serge Investment Company, Mr Greg Todd, the State Governor, Mr. Udom Emmanuel expressed confidence in the ability of the company to execute the projects within the terms of reference spelt out in the MOU.
Governor Emmanuel who was represented at the occasion by the Secretary to the State Government, Dr Emmanuel Ekuwem enjoined the Company to furnish the State Government with the implementation schedule of the projects, detailing the
commencement period of each of the projects and the area of assistance it expects from the Government.
Responding, the President of the Serge Investment Company, Mr. Greg Todd informed the State Government of the Company’s readiness to deliver on the job and assured that the implementation schedule will be submitted to the Government in no distant time.
The event which took place on Tuesday at the Conference room of the Secretary to the State Government, Government House, Uyo, was witnessed by the Commissioner for Science & Technology, Prof. Nse Essien and his Counterpart in the Ministry of Transport and Petroleum Resources, Mr Orman Esin.
Others included the Executive Chairman, Akwa Ibom Investment Corporation (AKICORP), Dr. Elijah Akpan, the Chairman,Foreign Direct Investment, Mr Gabriel Ukpeh and the management officials of the company, among others.
