EKET: APC MEMBERS JUMP SHIP, JOINS PDP

•  AS LG CHAIRMAN, FRANK ARCHIBONG RECEIVES THEM INTO PARTY

The residence of the Chairman of Eket Local Government Council, Mr.Frank Archibong, became a Mecca of sort, as members of the opposition party, the All Progressives Congress(APC), and Alliance for New Nigeria, (ANN) in the State, defected to the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) today. October 30, 2018.

Without prior notice of their defection, members of the opposition ambushed the Chairman in his residence, while guest were waiting to meet with the local government Helmsman.

Speaking, a former APC Ward Chairman, in Eket Central 5, Ubongabasi Ntiaobong, said, they were tire of being members of the APC, were the party kept using them, without something to show for their efforts.

He further said, that people have seen the kind of stadium Governor Udom was building, the roads, infrastructures, industries, and a whole lot. That they will be foolish to go and vote for another person, which is why they decided to come and pledge their unalloyed support to the Governor’s re-election, and also, to commend Frank Archibong, for what he is doing, in the development of Eket.

Receiving the Defectors, the Chapter Chairman of PDP in Esit Eket, who incidentally was present at the Chairman’s House, thanked them for taking a wise decision to come to the PDP where their interest will be well protected.

Reacting, Chairman of Eket, Mr.Frank Archibong, said, he welcomed them to the party of truth and respect, urging them to do more evangelism, and bring others who are willing to join the party. He also assured them, that everyone in the party will be treated equally, as the old members and new members will enjoy the same privilege.

He also commended them for expressing their support to the Governor for a second term, while reemphasizing, that Governor Udom will return for a second term in office.
