At a hangout session early today with the tag #charlesUdohhangoutwithentrepreneur held at the Conference room of Food Affairs, Ikot Ekpene Road, Uyo, tAKS Commissioner for Information and Strategy, Charles Udoh stressed the need for branding as key to the survival of business with the trending competitive market forces,

Addressing indigenous business operators in the state under the aegis of Akwa Ibom Entrepreneurs, the Commissioner in a slideshow presentation emphasized that, brand drives the business and brand is not built in a day but through ruthless consistency..

Disclosing that, brand is what differentiates one product from the other, the Information Boss said, brand which is a collection of perceptions in the mind of the customer must be jealously guarded as a promise covenant by the business owner the customer.

He reiterated that the driving force for business should not be anchored solely on profit making but on the need to fill an existing gap and add value to the society.

Adding that logo is a brand asset, Udoh advised that, it should be kept simple and urged business owners to leverage on the opportunities provided by the social media to advertise their businesses.

Major factors any business owner should consider are identification of gaps, marketing strategy for his/her product and customer service.

He congratulated the organizers of the interaction session and said the measure was in line with the Dakadda philosophy of Governor Udom Emmanuel which implores all to rise to the faith of greatness by engaging in positive business ventures toward stimulating the state economy.
