Gov Emmanuel Commissions 3 Roads In Uyo

As part of activities commemorating the 3rd anniversary of saddling the mantle of leadership, Akwa Ibom State Governor, Mr Udom Emmanuel, on Tuesday, 15th May 2018, commissioned three major road projects within the Uyo Metropolis.

The roads include Youth Avenue, Mbiabong Etoi; Concrete Hotel Road, Ewet Housing Estate and 1.2km Access Road to Radio Nigeria Atlantic FM connecting Nsukara Offot, Uyo Local Government Area.

It could be recalled that roads were among the first set of 45 internal roads flagged off simultaneously late last year in the Uyo Metropolis, in line with the administration’s vision to open up every area and create more urban centres for socio-economic growth.

The Governor also stopped over at the Etinan Roundabout to inspect the Uyo-Etinan Road project.

Earlier, the Commissioner for Works, Mr Ephraim Inyang-Eyen, whose Ministry supervises road projects in the state, explained that inauguration of some of these roads were another practical demonstration of the determination of Gov Emmanuel-led administration and capacity to fulfill its promises to the people of the State, despite the severe economic constraints currently facing the country.

In the entourage were wife of the Governor, Mrs Martha Udom Emmanuel; Deputy Governor, Mr Moses Ekpo; Secretary to the State Government (SSG), Dr Emmanuel Ekuwem; State PDP Chairman, Obong Paul Ekpo; Uyo LGA Vice Chairman, Amb Ukai Udeme Emmanuel and a host of others.
