  • Implores All to Propagate The Development Strides of Gov. Udom Emmanuel

The winners in the maiden edition of the Udom in my Community Photo/Video contest has emerged and have been been presented with their prices by the  Commissioner for Information and Strategy, Mr. Charles Udoh.

Charles Udoh stated that as indigenes of the State, we owe ourselves the duty to pride about the good things we have by showing the world that our state is blessed with a dynamic and people-oriented Governor who is committed to the development of the state as evidenced in the life-touching projects executed in different areas of the state.

He further  called on all indigenes to propagate the numerous landmark development strides of Governor Udom Emmanuel, which abound in all sectors and sections of the State within the short span of just 2 years plus of his administration.

Represented  by the Permanent Secretary in the Ministry,  Pastor Praise Okon, at the prize presentation ceremony held in the Conference room of the Ministry, early today, the Information Boss expressed appreciation to the award winners for acknowledging and projecting the development strides of Governor Udom Emmanuel from the public stand point, and encouraged other members of the public to key into the Udom in my Community Photo/Video contest not merely for the financial empowerment but as a way of sensitizing others on the development strides of the present administration in their different communities and environ to attract investors and others who may be willing to carry out businesses in their areas.

Earlier, the acting Director of Strategy in the Ministry, Mrs. Grace Akpan has said Udom in my Community Photo/Video contest is one programme from the series of “Udomcares” statewide sensitization/enlightenment campaigns mounted by Ministry of Information and Strategy to project and promote the giant strides of the Governor Udom Emmauel-led government through citizen point of view as well as a means of empowering the youths through photo/video shoot of government projects.

The Strategy director said, the weekly  programme which is ongoing is open to all interested members of the public who will derive both pleasure and information in the course of going round government project sites across the state adding that all entries which include 4 photos and a  60 secs video of projects either completed or ongoing should be uploaded to Udomcares Citizen Center with phone number 09076173782 or email to between the hours of 9am to 4pm daily.

In his vote of thanks, the Star Prize winner, Nsisong George Etukudo, who smiled home with N20,000 (Twenty Thousand Naira) cash prize expressed gratitude to Governor Udom Emmanuel for constructing the Atan Offot road which was his winning video entry emphasizing that, that road is a big relieve to the people of the area hence his interest in projecting it for all see.

Nsisong also placed on record his gratitude to the Commissioner for Information and Strategy, Mr. Charles Udoh and indeed the entire Ministry for floating the Udom in my Community Photo/Video contest and also keeping to the Promise of presenting the prizes to him and the other winners, including; Stanley Effiong Ekwere and Odudu Ekan Effiong.

Highlight of the event witnessed by the Media Aide to the Governor, Mr. Essien Ndueso, Dirctor of Information, Comfort Umanah and Deputy Director in-charge of Eket Zone in the Ministry, Mrs. Blessing Urua, was the projection of the entries of the participants for viewing by the audience as well as the presentation of prizes to the award winners.
