The State-wide Udomcares sensitization campaign has breathed air of hope on over 30 traders in the Ibom Plaza community smiling home with cash prices, as they officially kicked-off in Uyo.

Flagging-off the campaign at the Ibom Plaza, the Commissioner for Information and Strategy, Charles Udoh, described Governor Udom Emmanuel as a caring and people-oriented leader, who does not segregate any level or class of people in the society as demonstrated in the Udomcares cash prizes given to boost their businesses.

Udoh said, the Governor is targeting a society where all will be gainfully engaged in one form of business or the other to better their lots, one reason he said, informed the Governor’s approval for the Ministry of Information and Strategy to mount the campaign aimed at sensitizing the populace on ways to key into the numerous government employment and life changing programmes.

The Information Boss disclosed that, the government re-opened the Ibom plaza to ensure sustainability of the means of livelihoods of the traders who utilise the facility and charged the youths to take advantage of the various capacity building programmes so far put in place by the Governor Udom Emmanuel-led administration.

The Chairman of the Ibom plaza community and PDP Vice Chairmanship candidate for Uyo, Emmanuel Ukai in his remarks expressed appreciation to Governor Udom Emmanuel for giving members of the community a sense of belonging with the packages doled out to them though the Udomcares campaign, stressing that the gesture will be reciprocated.

The heavy crowded campaign witnessed interactive session with the populace on their knowledge of the programmes and achievements of the Governor Udom Emmanuel-led administration anchored by a Media Aide to the Governor, Mr. Essien Ndueso and presentation of cash prizes to winners by the Permanent Secretary, Ministry of Information and Strategy, Pastor Praise Okon and the Director of Administration in the Ministry, Mrs. Tiuba Nduonofit.
