Hon Archibong emerges Eket PDP chairmanship candidate

Former Eket TC cum ALGON Chairman-AKS, Hon Frank Archibong has been declared the winner of Akwa Ibom PDP chairmanship Primaries in Eket Local Government Area of Akwa Ibom State.

The Returning Officer, Hon Kufreabasi Edidem who announced the result of the chairmanship Primaries at the Eket council hall on Monday, described the election to be free, fair and credible.

Edidem said that there were two set of delegates, comprising the statutory and Adhoc delegates.

The returning officer said there were 97 accredited delegates.

He announced that Hon. Frank Archibong won the PDP Primaries with 63 votes beating his closet rival, Mr. Usoro I. Usoro who 29 votes.

Kufreabasi further announced that Mr. Monday Ette Johnny scored 1 vote, Iniobong Johnson scored 1 vote, David Mbre scored 1 vote while Mrs. Glory Bassey scored 1 vote.

He said there was 1 void vote. He also said in Eket local government area 14 aspirants contested for the position of chairmanship.
