Health: Governor Udom Acquires a Diapact CRRT Machine for Kidney Patients

Following the increase in kidney related disease, Akwa Ibom State Government is organizing a 4 day training programme/capacity building for Doctors/Nurses on the use Diapact CRRT Machine for Critically ill kidney patients with a road map to kidney transplant in Aks.

This machine has been described as the best for treatment of critically ill kidney patient.

Diapact CRRT Machine has nine (9) functions, can be used nonstop for 3 days. It’s term as the best mechanism in the world.

Guest speakers today being the second day of the programme includes Prof. Arogundade and Prof. Badmus Tajudeen of Obafemi Awolowo University Teaching Hospital,Ife.

Participants were drawn from kidney unit UUTH,Intensive care Unit UUTH, Akwa Ibom State ministry of Health/HMB.

It should be noted that Nigeria has only 7 of this machine, Akwa Ibom State now have one which will be use in treating the very ill kidney patients and bring about a more effective outcome in the overall management of kidney disease.
