FAMILY ENDORSES ENO ROBERT FOR NUNG NDEM 1 COUNCILLORSHIP POSITION

The atmosphere of Okat Village in (Nung Ndem ward 1) was glitzy as the Ikot Abia family came out en-mass to endorse their illustrious son, Hon. Eno Sunday Robert (A.k.a. Scott) for the councillorship position ahead of the Nov. 11 Local Government Election.

Gathering at Essien Ikot Abia village square in Okat on Thursday, family heads, political stalwarts, Chiefs came to the acceptability that in other to avert rancor and chaos during the electioneering process, there was a need to come up with a consensus candidate for the ward.

 

They noted that since the councillorship slot is zoned to the village, there was no need allowing people with little or no knowledge about the legislature with same aspiration fritter away their little resources in the name of consultation.

 

Speaking at the event, the political leader, Obong Mfon Unaidet, a onetime Chairman of ONNA LGA said that the best thing a community could do to forestall peace is to work in unity for the interest and growth of the society.

 

Obong Mfon while applauding the Ikot Abia family for the proactive measures taken ahead of the Nov. 11 Local Government elections in choosing Hon. Eno Robert (Scott) as their sole councillorship candidate, expressed optimism that the candidate adopted is the best head for the slot.

 

He stressed that Hon. Eno Robert is a tested and trusted community developer and humanitarian with modern initiative, whose experience will contribute immensely to the development of the village and ward at large.

“We are doing the best thing for this community by joining the Okat family in choosing Scott to represent Nung Ndem ward 1 in ONNA Legislative Council”

 

“Everybody here knows Scott; he is a mobilizer and a selfless leader, who will be able to mobilize this ward for our brother the Governor come 2019”

“I believe he will never disappoint us” – he added

Also speaking, the representative of the Village Head who is hospitalized, Chief (Engr.) Offong R. Offong affirmed that the candidature of Hon. Eno Robert is the best thing that will happen to Nung Ndem ward 1.

He emphasized that going by the antecedents of Hon. Eno Robert (Scott) he has no doubt that he will deliver dividends of democracy to the people.

They family unanimously endorsed and prayed for the aspirant, advising him to be focused in his pursuit when elected into the office as councilor
