- Extols the Governor for his developmental strides

Aides of Governor Udom Emmanuel of Akwa Ibom state and caretaker chairmen of local government areas in Eket federal constituency have begun a massive campaign for his re-election ahead of the 2019 election.
The chairmen and aides of the governor from the area, including special advisers; special assistants and personal assistants from Eket federal constituency stated their position, vowed to decimate all opposition forces against the re-validation of Udom’s second term mandate.
They stated their position Tuesday in Eket during an enlarged meeting convened by the Special Assistant to the Governor on Electoral Matters, Iwaad Emmanuel Okon Mbong.
They disclosed that they are set to begin a door-to-door campaign to shore up grassroots support for the governor, whom they adjudged as having performed excellently well in the areas of industrialization, human capacity and infrastructural development.
Iwaad Mbong, who is also the Eket Chapter Chairman of the Peoples Democratic, said, “The performance and developmental strides of the Governor is satisfactory and as such, there is need to create a formidable grassroots force for the re-election of Governor Udom Emmanuel ahead of the 2019 general election by rigorous sensitization and mobilization”
He further stressed on the need of mobilizing eligible voters to participate in the ongoing voters registration exercise, affirming that it is only through this that they can ensure election successes.
In the same page, the Senior Special Assistant to the Governor on Projects Monitoring, Hon. Isaiah Abia specifically listed projects that are due to be commissioned to mark the second year in office of the Governor, which is inclusive but not limited to; Eket- Ibeno road, stressing that projects done by his Excellency should be propagated to disabuse the minds of the misinformed.
The Special Assistant to the Governor on Media, Mr. Essien Ndueso stated that Governor Emmanuel has performed beyond the expectations of critics, who have contributed nothing to the growth of the state rather, distracting the Governor by their incessant lies with an aim to dissuade the ever loving supporters of the Governor. He however called on all Akwa Ibom sons and daughters at home and in the Diaspora, to have a compiled list of the Governor’s developmental projects, to prove that Udom remains the best for Akwa Ibom.
