Udom’s Pencil and Toothpick Factory to Commence Production Soon

Just as His Excellency, Mr. Udom Emmanuel promised during his electioneering days to industrialize the State, it is obvious that all efforts is inserted to the industrialisation agenda so as to realize it aims and objectives.

The recent arrival of heavy machinery for the toothpick and pencil production in the state is another feat to the industrialization drive.

The factory located at Ekom Iman in Ikono-Uyo Local Government Area is to provide employment to the teaming youths of the state while the economy will receive a great boost as revenue will be generated.

One critical rationale for this factory is that the two products were hitherto imported into the country and worth still, bought by our retailers from the big distributors in Aba, Onitsha and Lagos hence it is imperative in Akwa Ibom State.
