As preparations ahead of December 2nd, council poll get intense, Mr. Iniobong Nnamso Robson (Etebe); yesterday declared his intention to contest for the number one seat as elected chairman of Esit Eket.
He made this known during a convergence of Political Stakeholders and decision makers at the residence of the Esit Eket PDP chapter chairman, Rt. Hon. Eddy Etangkanga yesterday.
Addressing the gathering, the convener, Hon. Pst. Victor Bassey acknowledged the roles of stakeholders for adhering and harnessing on zoning.
Hon. Victor, a one time Esit Eket council boss also commended the Governor for allowing fair play to prevail in the conduct of choosing and electing into office the next chairman of Esit Eket.
Hon. Victor also added that the stakeholders decision for the adoption and endorsement of the former Transition Chairman was burn out of several appeals from stakeholders across the entire Esit Eket, calling on Iniobong Robson to contest to enable the people witness an accelerated development, unshakeable unity and strong political base ahead of 2019 re-election bid for Governor Udom Emmanuel.
In his speech, Mr. Iniobong (Etebe) expressed joy and satisfaction over the calibre of personalities that turned up for the brief breakfast meeting.
The chairmanship hopeful while thanking the people also commended them on their consistent support for the Governor and indisputable loyalty for the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP.)
” in his words, I came here to thank all of you for your dignified efforts in sustaining the unity of purpose, which have consistently aided in promoting our democracy with a remarkable benchmark edge in ameliorating the economic challenges engulfing us as a result of dwindling economic situation.
“the beginning of every good thing in any society is leadership confidence. I am promising here that the people of Esit Eket will benefit maximally in my administration and our party the PDP will not have any regret of giving me their mandate”- Robson stated.
Mr. Iniobong further emphasized that for any society to attain it’s designed mission; unity, love, discipline and peace must become a reoccurring decimal as a daily guide and tool.
In the words of Prince Enobong Asubop; “I will not have opted to support any other aspirant if Hon. Iniobong Robson was not cleared to contest this election.
The longest ever serving chapter chairman of PDP described Iniobong Robson as the only compassionate leader with genuine thoughts and capacity to attract for the people development, political reintegration, youths empowerment/employment and stability of Esit Eket.
Corroborating the position of Prince Asubop was Chief Monday Awai and Hon. Urua Urua Akpe; the dou who spoke on behalf of the people of ward (I) reiterated their support and emphasized that Etebe will be given 100% percent Vote even without campaigning.
The stakeholders in an unanimous resolution openly announced that the subject of who should be the next elected chairman of Esit Eket has been resolved and concluded in all the wards.
Also Speaking was Hon. Nkereuwem Akwaowo; Comm. (I) in the judiciary Service commission.
The commissioner after eulogising the candidacy of Etebe described the later as an “irresistible brand” with genuine outputs for the generality of Esit Eket.
In a closing remarks, Hon. Isaiah Abia; SA on Project monitoring submitted that there is no objection to the candidacy of Mr. Iniobong Nnamso becoming an elected chairman of Esit Eket. He stressed that nothing can stop the election and subsequent swearing in of Iniobong Robson.
“We should be guided accordingly on the formalities of the election/nomination and blue prints of the incoming executive chairman for the people of Esit Eket”.
