Edet Edet – Eket
The Senior Special Assistant to the Akwa Ibom State Governor on Marketing and Brand Management, and progenitor, Dakkada Initiative, Mr. Sam Edoho, yesterday described His Excellency, Governor Udom Emmanuel as a man of vision and an apostle of industrialization.
Edoho made this remark during a courtesy call on him by the National Executives of Eket Senatorial District Youth Assembly (ESDYA), the apex socio- political youth group in Eket Senatorial District at the Dakkada house.
He said the Udom’s administration is gradually driving out idleness and poverty that had eaten deep into the fabric of the state and country at large, by his industrial revolution pursuit and consistent improvisatory strategies used to mitigate the challenges of the people.
The Akwa Ibom brand manager, while addressing the National Executives of the group, led by Evang. Hon Joseph Mbong, said that from inception, Akwa Ibom people were known to be very hardworking, with a superfluity of brilliant and industrious people, so the Dakkada philosophy was conceived to awaken the consciousness of those who had relegated themselves to suppliant at the ridicule of the states enormous endowment.
He however in a bid to buttress his points, pointed out functioning industries concluded by the Udom’s administration, the positive initiatives in every sphere of the economy and the achievements of the Dakkada ideology, which are inclusive but not limited to; sustenance of the free compulsory and compulsory education, which has curbed a whopping sum of about N1.8bn for payment of Exam fees, Akwa Ibom toothpick and pencil industry, Peacock Paint industry, Akwa Ibom hatchery, Tomatoes plantation, coconut refinery etc.
Edoho commended the Governor for conceiving the Dakkada initiative that has today translated into a larger vehicle, transporting Akwa Ibom people to the shores of reality.
He applauded the group for being in support with the Udom’s agenda, noting that there is a future for Eket Senatorial District in the group, and also promised to support the group in their 10,000 man match awareness campaign for the re-election bid of the Governor, Mr. Udom Emmanuel in 2019.
