In a bid to keep Eket Clean, to further strengthen the pro-cleanliness pursuit by the council chairman, Hon. Frank Archibong, the leadership of the students union, today embarked on a usual cleanliness exercise Tagged; ‘KEEP EKET CLEAN’.
The ‘Keep Eket Clean’ exercise initiated by the Council Chairman, Hon. Frank Archibong after his first inauguration was meant to mop-up unclean channels that keeps Eket obscene in the face of passersby.
Reacting to the development, the SA to the chairman on media, Comr. Mfon Bassey commended the students body led by Charles Bassey Sam, Stakeholder of the union, the outgoing President, Comr. Eshiet Ekong for their proactive steps in ensuring that the procreation of the Chairman on environment cleanliness is actualized.
He also appluaded the students for supporting the Chairman, Hon. Frank Archibong and the Governor, Udom Emmanuel for pushing towards achieving the blueprint earmarked for the development and betterment of the people.
The exercise as stated by the Stakeholder, Comr. Charles Sam is organised to be a Monthly exercise, citing that Frank Archibong’s led administration is poised to enforce cleanliness in the polity.
The students who were numbered over a hundred, were spread across strategic places in the LGA noted to be unclean, to enforce new looks and feel after the exercise.
Eket Students worldwide after the exercise commended the Governor, Mr. Udom Emmanuel for keeping to his campaign promises vis-a-vis industrialisation, and for retaining the peoples chairman, Hon. Frank Archibong in the caretaker committee, hoping that his appointment will be translated into the elective capacity as the LGA Chairman, as the election draws near.
